Jon is a skilled attorney, having litigated hundreds of cases, including medical malpractice, Public Health Service disciplinary actions, Merit Systems Protection Board cases, physician disciplinary actions, courts-martial, and civil and criminal cases. He has consulted in the Baptist Hospital Medicare fraud case, has done fraud and abuse legal work for a Cleveland hospital involved in the Ohio Hospital Project, and has provided legal opinions on telemedicine issues. His law firm provides health law services, among others, including health information law, medical malpractice, representation before peer review and credentialing committees, fraud and abuse evaluation and defense, legal review of managed care entities and operations, and analysis of records retention programs for legal sufficiency.

Having gone to law school after he had completed tours of duty in the U.S. Army as an Infantry platoon leader in Vietnam and as a Military Intelligence officer in West Germany during the Cold War, Jon is also a retired military judge and JAGC officer.
